Tzatziki
(Cucumber Yogurt Sauce)
with Dill

Yields: 12 (¼-cup) servings | .5 points per serving

My rating:

This is an interesting version of tzatziki sauce that calls for dill instead of garlic. If you are not a dill fan, you can replace the dill with 2-4 cloves of minced garlic. This dip is fabulous for dipping pita bread and fresh veggies into. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 large onion, peeled
  • 6 oz (2/3 cup) fat-free plain yogurt
  • 8 oz fat-free cream cheese
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper, or to taste
  • 1 tsp dried dillweed (or 2 tsp fresh dill)
  • 2 large cucumbers, peeled and cut into bite-sized cubes

Directions:

Chop onion in food processor or blender. Add yogurt, cream cheese, salt, pepper, and dill. Blend until well-combined. Transfer to medium bowl. Fold in cucumber. Chill until ready to serve.

Yields: 3 cups (12 ¼-cup servings)
