This pizza is absolutely phenominal!! You just can't
go wrong with alfredo sauce and broccoli. This is my personal favorite
out of all my pizza recipes. It's so creamy and delicious... Mmm...
Just be careful not to eat the whole pie! Serve with a 0-point salad
or steamed veggies on the side.
Ingredients:
1 (13.8-oz) tube of refrigerated Pillsbury classic pizza
crust (found by crescent rolls/premade cookie dough) *
2 cups chopped fresh broccoli flowerets **
1/2 cup fat-free ricotta cheese
1 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese (I love Sorrento Low-Moisture
Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese with Garlic)
3/4 cup light alfredo sauce (I love Ragu Light Parmesan Alfredo)
Garlic, to taste (I use 3 or 4 cloves)
Basil, to taste (I use 1 or 2 tsp)
* Alternately, you can use 1 box Pillsbury Hot Roll Mix, 1
package of refrigerated pizza dough, or any other ready-made pizza
crust. These are all roughly the same points value, but please note
that my Nutritional Info below is based on the refrigerated 13.8-oz
tube Pillsbury pizza crust.
** Alternatively, you can use 2 cups of chopped broccoli and/or spinach
and/or mushrooms. They will all be the same points-wise.
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Spray or grease cookie sheet or
pizza pan. (I use a 13-inch "thin crust" pizza pan)
Chop your broccoli and garlic cloves. Set the garlic aside. Steam the
broccoli in microwave with a little water for 5 minutes or until soft.
Drain. In a large bowl, stir together steamed broccoli, garlic, ricotta,
mozzarella, and basil until well-mixed.
Unroll dough on greased cookie sheet or pizza pan. Press to desired
size, shape and thickness. Pour your alfredo sauce evenly over the dough.
Use the bottom of a spoon, if necessary, to make sure it's evenly spread.
Then spoon broccoli/cheese mixture evenly over the alfredo sauce.
Bake 10-15 minutes at 400º.
